Saturday March 28th found
Dennis Bullpitt gearing up to travel to Brisbane Speedway.
Unfortunate for Dennis while loading the car on the trailer
to leave to travel to Brisbane, Dennis hurt his back.
First thought was a pulled muscle but after a trip to the
Doctor through the week, Dennis had somehow managed to pop a
rib out, making his 2nd place effort at Brisbane even more
incredible.
Starting
from 7th in heat 1, the track surface proved to be hard to
pick after a half spin by Dennis resulting in Dennis
finishing in 7th. Starting from pole in heat 2, Matt
Swarbrooke got the jump into the lead, as Steve Price found
a way past Bullpitt. Swarbrooke retired with broken
right front suspension allowing Bullpitt to finish in 2nd
place.
The final
saw Steve Price and Mark Ferguson
off the front row with Dennis
Starting from position 7. Bullpitt fought off the pain
in his back and was able to make a clean drive to make his
way up the order to ultimately finish 2nd behind Steve
Price. Special thanks goes out to Dennis' crew for
helping out for the night, (Darren and Shane) as the team
learnt a lot throughout the night in regards to set-up.
