First run goes well
Sunday December 31, 2007.  TSS Motorsport

Dennis Bullpit raced at Brisbane Speedway on Saturday night, in what was a learning curve in the new car.  But Bullpit showed he was no ammature, starting off the front row in the first heat, and leading for half the race until the car ran wide out of turn 1 and allowed Adrian Stott passed.  Dennis held on to finish 2nd.  The car was a little unsettled at the start, but as the night went on it turned into a real speed machine.

Heat 2 Dennis started from position 8.  The #10 racer was lucky to avoid an incident in turn 1, just clipping one car which had spun in front of him.  No damage was done other than a torn bonnet.  The race restarted with Dennis still at the back of the grid, another incident in turn 4 saw several cars involved.  After another restart Dennis had made his way up to 4th, which is where he finished.

Dennis had qualified the TSS Motorsport Falcon out of position 5 out of a total of nearly 20 cars.  Dennis surged ahead as the green lights come on, Bullpitt sliding into 4th place.  After only few laps, the cars right rear wheel come adrift from the car coming into turn 4.  Later discovering all 5 wheel studs broken.  This may have been caused by a brush with the wall in one of the heats.  "That was awesome, the car felt so great.  I was looking forward to that race!" Although Dennis didn't finish the race, he was just as happy to have the car running as fast as any other out there.

Robert Trapp was leading the race for half race distance until Mark Ferguson made his way past and into the lead.  Ferguson won the feature event with Trapp finishing right behind him in 2nd with Steve Downes in 3rd.

Dennis will be looking to make ammends tonight at Charlton Raceway as he takes on 5 other cars in a Holden VS Ford Modified Production Challenge, with Shane Macdonald, Robert Trapp and Rodney Pammenter driving for Holden and Dennis Bullpitt, Royce Ernst and Steve Price driving for Ford.
